Creating Change to Empower Albanian Youth

Every kid wants to be an all-star some day, and here is your chance to make that possibility come true for Albanian youth under the first program for Albanian youth of the newly formed Korçarët Ndihmojnë Korçarët Korce Community Foundation  — the first and only Albanian Community Foundation.

We are working together with Partners Albania for Change and Development, Smile.al and the Credins Bank Foundation, and Alphaplan and Code for Albania.

Together, we would like to raise $30,000 to:  

• What we are doing with partners #1
• What we are doing with partners #2
• Support 15 promising youth from less well-off families to participate in the Code for Albania Camp in Korce in 2026

So far we have raised about $15,000 as follows:

• $8,000 Partners Albania Giving Circle Gala in October 2024
• $5,000 Yvonne Naum
• $2,000 Global Albanians Foundation and Mark Kosmo

We see this as an opportunity to now embark on a new and more ambitious chapter to not only empower more Albanian youth with tech skills, but also to help identify and support future Albanian tech entrepreneurs and widen their engagement with the Albanian diaspora — and particularly Albanian Diaspora Tech Entrepreneurs.

We’re excited to see this program continue to grow and empower even more groups of young people who go on to create startups, succeed in universities, and make a real difference for Albania by 2030.

OriginAL  aims to provide a volunteer, educational, and cultural experience for Albanian Diaspora Youth (ages of 18-24) in their homeland countries. The goal is to strengthen their sense of ethnic identity and create long-lasting connections, especially between them and their youth peers in our homeland countries. OriginAL is patterned on the idea of Birthright Israel, and similar programs in other countries,  We launched OriginAL with 40 participants in 2022, and want to double this number every year for the next five years and then reach thousands in the future.
